Jack Benny Christmas Show
This is the most hilarious Christmas show ever! What Jack does to Mel Blanc's salesman character is just too much. Watch! You won't be disappointed

Great fun
Mel Blanc busting up Jack Benny is worth the entire download, but the whole episode is fun.

Subject:
hard to imagine this being aired now
There's nothing that says Merry Christmas like a clerk committing suicide and everyone but Benny gathering around in horror. People today would be appalled.
This episode is an excellent example that the gentler days of yesteryear are a myth. Before tv was sanitized for the protection of the kiddies, there were many moments of adult humor, some of it quite dark.

Jack Benny's Christmas program
This sketch originally started on radio back in 1946. Jack couldn't decide on metal tipped or plastic tipped shoelaces for Don Wilson. The show must have received a big rating because they repeated every year but with a different gift. The wallet came in either 1947-48, and Mel Blanc became the perennial harrassed clerk. On one show, he is heard talking with the store psychiatrist about having a nervous breakdown due to the "old gentleman with blue eyes." The show is perhaps the best remembered of all the Benny shows. Hopefully the writers received a nice bonus every year it ran.

Christmas with Jack
This has everything you expect from Jack Benny. He's his unusual cheap self. Mel Blanc is manic in his role of a store clerk frustrated with constant charges in the order. And Eddie Anderson has a great sketch describing what "type" Mr. Benny is.
